Thailand Introduces Digital Arrival Card to Modernize Immigration Process

Updated: 6 hours ago

Thailand is taking a significant step toward modernizing its immigration system with the introduction of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). As one of the world’s most popular travel destinations, Thailand continues to enhance its travel infrastructure to provide a smoother and more efficient experience for international visitors. The new digital system replaces the traditional paper-based arrival card and aligns Thailand’s immigration procedures with global smart travel trends.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is the electronic version of the traditional disembarkation form that foreign visitors were previously required to complete upon arrival. The digital system serves as an official record of entry and provides essential travel information to immigration authorities, while reducing paperwork and processing time at airports and border checkpoints.

This transition to a paperless system is expected to improve efficiency, enhance border security, and minimize administrative burdens for both travelers and officials.
